Office move makes for a promising start to 2018 for ionic

November is nearly over and it has certainly been a hectic and exciting time for everyone at ionic! We’ve finally finished unpacking and are pleased to announce that we’ve moved out of our small office, into a 3,800sq ft. office space in Newton House, Birchwood Park. The new office gives us plenty of room to double the size of team and grow the business further in 2018 and beyond.

To make the team feel at home we’ve made significant investment; we’ve transformed what was an office shell into an open plan working environment, with two meeting rooms, modern kitchen and unique construction themed office furniture made from scaffolding!

Throughout 2017 we’ve devoted our time to the training and development of our team which has been reflected in a fantastic sales performance for the year. With 2018 around the corner, our new office space will facilitate our exciting business plans and help to continue the expansion of our company to cope with market demand.

To put the demand into context, we attended the Construction Summit North event earlier in the year and the future for the Northwest construction sector is certainly looking very bright. In Greater Manchester alone, there is over £7.8 billion worth of projects due to commence from 2017-2020.

Candidate shortages were also high up on the agenda at the Summit and many companies are concerned about the possible negative effect it’ll have on their business. To counteract this, we are taking proactive steps to identify and attract candidates, rather than relying on ‘traditional’ reactive recruitment methods.

While there’s still a lot of uncertainty in the sector caused by the ‘Brexit effect’, many of our clients are cautious but optimistic about next year. We’re all looking forward to 2018 and the exciting times that lay ahead for ionic!
