Ionic are presently undertaking a search for one of the country’s leading construction companies that has a strong focus around New Build Housing. Owing to a large increase in work and planned business expansion, the company are urgently seeking to appoint a Development Engineer to join their growing team.
As a key member of the team, you would have the opportunity to work within a close-knit team in a purpose built, open plan office environment that encourages collaboration to overcome any potential challenges.
Possessing a strong balance sheet and solid land bank, you would have the opportunity to work within a financially secure company that are heavily focused on quality over quantity.
Reviewing possible engineering implications at feasibility stage for development schemes
Reviewing tender documentation for traditional tendered schemes and preparing technical appraisal for review by estimator/ pre-con manager
Obtaining quotations and finalising scope of works for site investigations, CCTV drainage surveys, utility scans etc. i.e. anything affecting engineering designs
Managing the preparation of engineering design information (by external consultant) and section agreement submissions
Attending site to provide technical input to site teams where required
Building and maintaining relationships with highway and drainage authorities
As part of their company ethos, they are firmly committed to training and development and for recognising the achievement each person makes to the business. This is reflected in their very low staff turnover.
This is a brilliant opportunity for an ambitious Development Engineer to join the company and work on a wide range of housing developments.
If you’re looking for an opportunity to work for a quality, rather than quantity driven organisation then this is the ideal opportunity for you.
