It’s nearly time! This Sunday, 18 members of the Ionic team will be running the Morrison’s Great Manchester run for St Rocco’s Hospice. With the date fast approaching, we are all getting in some last minute training to ensure we are prepared for the day.
Many people think we are crazy and ask, “Why chose to run 10k?” Well, we all wanted to improve our fitness levels, especially after lots of mince pies and turkey at Christmas! So we used our gluttony as an ideal opportunity to raise funds for a great cause and chose to support St Rocco’s Hospice, who provide specialist care for patients with life limiting illnesses in the Warrington area.
Training has gone well, better for some than others with Ash managing to record 7 minute miles! We may not all be quite at that pace but we are all hoping to achieve our individual goals and the competitiveness is increasing amongst the office, with Martyn being particularly keen to win.
So don’t forget to check back with our blog for the 10k aftermath for our record breaking times!
